Plagiarism Questions
1. I don't think that Fairey does enough work on these photos to call the his own artwork. This is because almost anyone could go into Photoshop and do what he does to the photos.
2. It is alright to do that as long as you cite your source.
3. No it is not right, because you should be able to come up with your own ideas instead of using other people's artwork as a base for your own.
4. yes it would be alright if he gave the credit and maybe a share in the profits that the image might make.
5. Yes he was plagiarizing because even though he took the pictures and changed them with his own style, the pictures still belonged to the original creator of them.

The Tree of Life
This was a picture i took in my neighborhood of a new tree. I used a sharpening layer first. Then i used hue/saturation.
This was a picture taken at one of the many public parks around Akron. First what i did t this was sharpen the image. Then I used hue/adjustment layer and a vibrance layer t make the colors stand out more.
This image was taken at the nature realm metro park. At firs most of the color was missing so i used a hue/saturation layer to bring more color into the picture and then a vibrance layer to make the color more noticeable. This is a picture taken of some large pine trees covered in hanging ivy. I brought our the color in the ivy and lessened the color in the leaves on the trees by using a hue/saturation layer.
This was a picture taken at one of the many metro parks in the akron area. I first used a layer to sharpen the image. Then i used a hue/saturation layer to bring out the reds and oranges in the picture to make it look more like fall. Then to finish it all i made a vibrance layer.

This was another picture taken a the nature realm metro park. Again the first thing i did was add a layer to sharpen the image. The second thing i did to this photo was add a hue/saturation layer to bring out the color of the leaves. To finish this i used a vibrance layer to make the colors stand out more against the background.

All i needed to do to this image to edit it was place a sharpening layer on it because it was already almost completely black and white.

Photographer Project
1. William Eugene Smith
2. 1918-1978
3. He was born in Wichita, Kansas. He took his first photos around the age of 15 for a local newspaper. He attended the Notre Dame College in Wichita in 1936, and a special photographic scholarship was created for him. He worked for Life magazine from 1947 to 1955. He also worked for
4. He is known mainly for his photographs of war. His main subject that i saw was pictures of people during war although he does take pictures of people other than in times of war. He brought many things to art but one of the most important things was that he brought a fund in his name that promotes "humanistic photography" which is aimed at keeping alive the interest in photographs of the everyday person. He also taught one year at the university of Arizona until he died in 1978.
5. I was attracted to this photographer because his photos of war were interesting and they were good photos. The pictures attracted me because i like learning about war and the people involved and why they are involved. All of the photos i have seen by him have really been full of emotion. I think that how he has gained fame as a photographer is by taking pictures of people an really capturing their emotions because even when people aren't in his photos you can still guess the feelings of the photographer. Another way he has gained fame is by taking photos of everyday people, because some of the photographs he takes are of normal people just doing their jobs or going on with their day to day lives and he represents them in his photographs very well by capturing the emotion in their faces and their passion towards their job and some of his photos show how the job is done.
